Welcome to PolyLC INC.

PolyLC manufactures alternatives to reversed-phase for HPLC of proteins, peptides and other biomolecules. We specialize in solving the most difficult application problems:

Introducing ERLIC!  Gradient chromatography without the gradient!  Separate
peptides, nucleotides and amino acids isocratically!

Phosphopeptides can also be isolated from tryptic digests and separated with high resolution.

NEW! Mixed-bed ion-exchange columns for intact proteins.  These are potentially an important tool for proteomics analyses of complex extracts.  Nearly all proteins are retained.  The 1000-Å pore diameter insures sharp peaks even for the largest proteins.

  • Proteomics: Our PolySULFOETHYL A™ is the standard material for the SCX-RPC sequence for multidimensional LC of complex tryptic digests.
  • QC: Analysis of closely-related protein variants.
  • Metabolomics: Analysis of polar solutes in cell and plant extracts; quick isocratic analysis of amino acids; etc.
  • Hemoglobin analysis: Our PolyCAT A™ columns are the gold standard.
  • Prion protein assay in blood samples.
  • Membrane protein isolation.
  • Separation by size of solutes as small as amino acids.
  • PCR reactions: HPLC alternative to gels.
PolyLC has developed an innovative process for attaching polypeptide coatings covalently to wide-pore silica. These stationary phases give superior results, with exceptional selectivity. Recovery is unequalled for sensitive and labile proteins. Our silica is selected from the finest available in the world.

Advances in biochemistry create the need for new tools for separations (e.g., proteomics of whole mammalian cells). We have an active program for development of the necessary materials and methods. Please feel free to contact us for technical advice.
